Dan Bourchier finally back after 2 weeks away as well.
I was hoping he wouldn’t be back from his holiday. Let’s leave it at that.
Not great at all. Was wonderful to have Craig Allen on weeknights over the last two weeks.
Was just wondering, was Siobhan Heanue the weekend anchor after Virginia’s retirement?
Initially yes, but now it’s Craig.
There was a few. Siobhan and Narda Gilmore. Leaps and bounds above Dan.
The generic news website Apple used in this year’s MacOS keynote reminds me a bit of the ABC News rebrand.

I have to wonder what is the point - doesn’t seem to add anything extra.
They tend to do this for ‘major’ news events.
ABC should stick to what they do best and present the facts, and forget trying to emulate commercials. Poorly designed backdrops with standing presenters are gimmicks only that don’t contribute to the news reporting.

What’s the point of the video wall anyway? It seems a very expensive exercise for what could be emulated (or bettered, without those lines between the monitors) with a green screen.
No coverage by ABC of Queensland funeral - now live on the three commercial networks.
I’d say that’s fair that they didn’t cover it. The story is being well covered by commercial networks including Ten (!), so it’s not really a justifiable expenditure for the ABC to essentially provide the same service.
