The footage was 25fps, probably recorded from the web/international feed. ---

The ABC has done a good job in recent years. From 2 separate shows on either 9 or 10 to one big 4 hour television event on the ABC has shown how much the coverage has changed. Nine had the rights between 1996-2005, 2009-12 and 10 had the rights from 2006-08. ABC has been the current rights holders since 2013. ---

Feel like over the past few years, the ABC has done a really good job making NYE ‘their’ night (if that makes sense) in a way other networks which have shown the Sydney fireworks weren’t able to do. Reckon that’s largely due to the annual concert (in the case of this year, concerts) they broadcast - it’s just the perfect thing to put on and ring in the new year with ---
