#607

And why does the ABC describe the Sunday edition of Invictus Games Today as a “lively half hour” when it is 50 mins.

#608

I highly recommend the ABC special Tick Fucking Tock if you are a fan of the Doug Anthony Allstars. Just caught part one on iView and was blown away by the emotional roller coaster ride. Was pissing myself laughing throughout most of it but was in tears by the end as Tim explained why the group broke up at the height of their success. Looking forward to part two next Tuesday.

#609

It was extended to 40 minutes to cater for those 50 minute shows thus the 8.30pm programs can start on time. For special events like Invictus Games and one hour programs, the news should be cut back to 30 minutes.

Spicks And Specks Reunion Special

Sunday 4 November 7.40pm

Hands on buzzers, it’s time to play Spicks and Specks! ABC is thrilled to announce that Australia’s favourite music quiz show is coming back for a one off, one night, hour special. Kicking off ABC’s Ausmusic Month in November, Adam Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough are gearing up to celebrate Australian music as only they know how; with returning old favourite games, some new surprises, and of course plenty of laughs.

Our team captains will be joined by award-winning rapper Adam Briggs, singer, songwriter Ricki-Lee Coulter and comedians Frank Woodley and Denise Scott. Dropping in on the night will be a fantastic line-up of Australia’s music greats, both past and present. They’ll all play along, put their music knowledge to the test, share their anecdotes and perform live.

With our favourite comedians also joining in, the Spicks and Specks Reunion Special promises to be an unforgettable night of music and madness.

The Spicks and Specks Reunion Special will screen as part of ABC’s annual Ausmusic Month in November. For the month of November, ABC celebrates and embraces Australian music across all its platforms with special initiatives, live performances and programming, highlighting and paying tribute to the diverse, depth and variety of Australian music.

Don’t Stop the Music

image

From Sunday 11 November at 7:40pm

What happens when you give young disadvantaged kids access to a state of the art music program? The results will excite, shock, and surprise as lives are transformed through the power of music.

#613

I thought it was to replace the local 7:30 editions to provide an opportunity for longer form state based reports in the news, although it’s normally a national package that makes it to air now.

#614

And to also make up for the axing of Stateline.

#615

Adam Hills the Last Leg has returned in the UK, is ABC not showing it anymore or has it moved to ABC Comedy?

#616

According to the EPG tonight, it’s screening in the later slot which was TBA in schedules above.

Adam Hills: The Last Leg

John Cleese
10:30PM - 11:10PM
Fast-tracked from the UK, another season begins. Adam, Josh and Alex are joined by John Cleese to discuss the looming Brexit deadline, Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding, Trump, and the rest of the week’s big events.

#618

Thanks, I should have checked the EPG instead.

#619

No worries.

I also noticed that Superwog is repeated in the 10pm slot on Wednesday. Why not debut it there and then repeat on ABC Comedy?

#620

ABC has bought the second season of Agatha Raisin starring Ashley Jensen, and will show it towards the end of 2018 or early 2019.

#621

Why is ABC repeating recent episodes of children’s animated series Bluey (first screening at 8am weekdays on ABC Kids) to fill in the 10 minute gap between Doctor Who and the 7pm news? It will have been better just to extend The Drum, so Doctor Who starts at 6.10pm.

#622

Heard an an on Gold 104.3 for Dr Who. Be fairly rare for the ABC to advertise in the current funding environment.

#623

The Drum screens in multiple timeslots so needs to be 30 minutes. At least Bluey gets some exposure elsewhere.

#624

When politicians and property developers threaten to transform Sydney’s inner city suburb of Waterloo, forcing public housing tenants to the edges of the city, the locals fight back: their war cry an ambitious artwork, the making of which will both unite and divide.

#626

Does anyone know when Ausmusic Month 2018 starts? I can’t see it starting in the first few days of November according to the guide…

#627

Ausmusic Month is an annual, month-long celebration of Australian music throughout November.
