NSW Police statement:
7 refered throughout their story and live to â9 Newsâ rather than A Current Affair. No doubt in any attempt possible to bring down the east coast ratings leaders.
Thatâs massive news! Wow
What city was that? In the report that was shown in Brisbane, from Robert Ovadia, the only mention of 9 News was in relation to Darren Wick, head of Nine News. Every other reference was to A Current Affair.
Yep, I am puzzled as well.
In Sydney, Mark specifically said âA Current Affairâ while introducing the story then Rob Ovadia described McCormack as an âA Current Affair reporterâ (or something along those lines) and then referred specifically to ACA staff during his live cross.
There were also references to â9 News sourcesâ and âthe Nine Networkâ but these were all appropriate in the context.
Same here in Melbourne, we had Robertâs package but no live cross.
They love trying to bring each other down whenever they get the opportunity. Amber Harrison wouldnât even be a story if it was for example BHP.
The episode available on 9now cuts out the references to the arrest at the beginning, however includes a second of 9news before hand. Strange.
ACAâs comment on tonightâs programme following the Ben McCormack arrest.
That is so sneaky. Do not agree with that at all. They havenât uploaded it to social media either. It is out there. Good luck hiding it. Iâd probably go as far to say unethical.
The Daily Telegraph has printed some really salacious allegations about his life and dating past, based on a âformer colleagueâ and âa source, who declined to be namedâ. Guilty or innocent, these allegations being out there would make it harder to get a fair trial.
Jeez that article is a bit out of line, equating using a gay dating app with what he is alleged to have done illegally. Iâm starting to think any trial will be biased from the outset with some of this coverage.
There is a Daily Mail article this morning that goes a few steps more.
In these type of situations itâs no surprise at all to me that we will see these type of articles.
It has only just started a lot more to come in the next month .
The headline on todayâs Herald Sun: A Creepy Affair
Itâs Northern sister paper (that being The Daily Telegraph, of course) has headlined the story as âA Vile Affairâ complete with a very classy front pageâŚ
Tracy is back Tonight after that âAssignmentâ
This doesnât sound good:
A Current Affair reporter Ben McCormack in hospital âbeing assessedâ.
Also in the article:
Tracy tonight has an interview with Jacqui Lambie. Looks like she was âon assignmentâ.
