She would 't have gotten in, gotten hair and made up etc and on air as fast as she did if she wasn’t already there. They were lucky she was for whatever reason.

Could be that they pre record it in the afternoon, and they happened to finish up at the same time as the news broke.
Could alao be that she came back into the office.

I think you may be into something. She doesn’t actually say it’s pre recorded on Friday. She says it’s pre recorded and she wasn’t there “that night”. It’s possible it’s pre recorded Saturday afternoon and she’s gone by the time the 6pm news is on.

Indeed - Nine also said about 30 people (IIRC) came into the office - no reason why Deb didn’t head straight back after hearing the news.

She probably didn’t say that because it wouldn’t be a great look to let slip that a show called A Current Affair is pre-recorded the day before! I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Saturday show is recorded on the Friday, as otherwise Deb (and the crew?) would be working six days a week. If everyone is there to do the Friday show it would seem to make sense to record the Saturday show at the same time.

Never said it would be with the host, however depends on what the contract was when she took it over. Could dictate based on schedules and working hours etc
It’s not as though working ACA or any presenting gig is a standard 9-5 working day.

Hmm. I’m sure she’s presented before. I guess if she says she hasn’t then she hasn’t but I could have sworn like over Xmas on Xmas day or even NYE. Ah well, my bad.
