Thursday September 6
Seven will dominate the next three nights with AFL finals.

Seven will dominate as Melbourne Demons play their first final in 12 years, ratings will be interesting, heaps of neutral supporters got behind Dogs’ first final on that Thursday in Perth in 2016, so could even be higher than my below prediction…

AFL 1st Elimination Final: 810k + 400k Fox.

NRL final: 570k + 350k Fox.

For whatever reason, storms often (but not always, as was proven about a year and a half ago) result in a ratings spike for local news bulletins.

With Sydney (particularly the Southern half of the metropolitan area) getting it’s first major storm event in many months as I type this, the viewing figures for Seven/Nine News might be higher tonight than they are on a typical Friday?

Friday September 7
AFL 1st elimination final: Melbourne v Geelong
Seven 660,000 (Melbourne 540,000 + Adelaide 120,000) + 7mate 120,000 (Sydney 15,000 + Brisbane 12,000 + Perth 93,000)
Better Homes and Gardens 530,000 (Seven + 7TWO)

NRL 1st qualifying final: Melbourne v South Sydney
Nine 610,000 (Sydney 330,000 + Melbourne 60,000 + Brisbane 220,000) + 9Gem 16,000 (Adelaide 8,000 + Perth 8,000)

The Living Room 0.42m

Ten will be decimated the next three Saturdays as AFL and NRL finals dominate viewing.

Saturday September 8
AFL 2nd elimination final: Sydney v GWS
Seven 573,000 (Sydney 90,000 + Melbourne 330,000 + Adelaide 70,000 + Perth 83,000) + 7mate Brisbane 16,000
Seven News 0.86m
AFL 2nd qualifying final: West Coast v Collingwood
Seven 810,000 (Melbourne 480,000 + Adelaide 110,000 + Perth 220,000) + 7mate 33,000 (Sydney 17,000 + Brisbane 16,000)

NRL 1st elimination final: Panthers v Warriors
Nine 450,000 (Sydney 230,000 + Brisbane 220,000) + 9Gem 35,000 (Melbourne 18,000 + Adelaide 8,000 + Perth 9,000)
NRL 2nd qualifying final: Roosters v Sharks
Nine 570,000 (Sydney 340,000 + Brisbane 230,000) + 9Gem 40,000 (Melbourne 20,000 + Adelaide 8,000 + Perth 12,000)

Rugby Union: Australia v South Africa 280,000 (Ten / One)
