MKR should rebound tonight without Married at First Sight. Murder Uncovered will lose viewers from last week but should still outrate Murder Calls.

I expect I’m A Celebrity & the season premiere of Gogglebox to do well.

The Chase prime-time special should also rate well, Seven should have an easy win with The Ghan special & the series premiere of The Investigator (as well as multi-channels).

Nine’s night won’t cut it with RBT & a movie.

Also have to factor in being a low-rating Thursday.

Thursday February 16
Ten should dominate in the demos with I’m a Celebrity and the season premiere of Gogglebox. The Chase MKR special will struggle and fight for second spot against RBT.

The Chase Australia: MKR special 0.67m
Mighty Trains series premiere 0.54m
The Investigators: A True Crime Story series premiere 0.41m

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 0.79m
Gogglebox season premiere 0.67m

RBT 0.65m
The Big Bang Theory new 0.62m
The Big Bang Theory rpt 0.57m
Movie: John Wick rpt 0.34m

Gogglebox 650k

With all the promotion and lead-ins, you don’t think it’ll pull higher than that?

I’ll say at least 500k.

Cricket T20 International at the MCG should dominate tonight on Ch 9.

Also revenge for January, when Seven beat Nine every time they had an ODI (thanks to the Australian Open).

I think Seven’s multi-channels will be strong though (and Better Homes & Gardens on the main channel should be solid).

Ten won’t have a good night.

Friday February 17
The T20 will help Nine to win the night but the figures may not be as high as the network and Cricket Australia are hoping for. This match should have been held last week, just a few days after the Australian cricket team returned from NZ after the three-match ODI tour, while people’s interest in cricket was still relatively high.

Twenty20 cricket: Australia v Sri Lanka game 1 0.73m

Better Homes and Gardens 0.62m
Movie: The Blind Side rpt 0.42m

The Living Room 0.49m
The Graham Norton Show 0.35m

Saturday February 18
The Super Netball triple header will rate pretty well on 9Gem tonight. Coupled with repeat movies on 9GO!, Nine will be virtually unbeatable every Saturday until the end of May when the Super Netball grand final is held.

Super Netball: Giants v Swifts 0.17m
Super Netball: Vixens v Magpies 0.25m
Super Netball: Firebirds v Lightning 0.16m

Movie: Crocodile Dundee rpt 0.45m
Movie: The Castle rpt 0.39m

AFLW: Western Bulldogs v Melbourne 0.36m (Melbourne and Adelaide) + 0.12m (Sydney, Brisbane and Perth)

Saturday the 18th of February 2017

Seven should win, thanks to the AFLW + movies. ABC will rate well. Nine won’t be too far behind. Ten will do terribly…

No. 1 network: Seven (just)

No. 1 main channel: Ch 7

•Death In Paradise: 825k
•AFLW (Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne): 605k
[Ch 7 - Melb: 275k + Adel: 85k + 7Mate - Syd: 30k + Bris: 30k + Per: 60k + Fox Footy: 125k]
•Call The Midwife: 600k
•“National Treasure” (movie - Ch 7 Syd/Bris/Per): 395k
•“Crocodile Dundee” (movie - Ch 9): 350k
•Macgyver: 300k
•“The Castle” (movie - Ch 9): 275k
•“Total Recall” (movie - Ch 7): 250k
•Hawaii Five-O: 225k
•Scorpion: 200k
•NCIS (encore): 175k

Sadly I don’t think the new netball competition will rate very well at all, dragging down 9Gem’s potential share & in turn Nine overall. Otherwise lots of movies once again across the multi-channels…

No. 1 multi-channel: 7Mate

Sunday February 18
MKR will drop below the one million mark as some viewers switch to Twenty/20 cricket. Hoges will also attract less viewers than part 1.

Twenty/20 cricket: Australia v Sri Lanka game 2 0.81m

My Kitchen Rules 0.94m
Hoges: The Paul Hogan Story part 2 0.73m

Bondi Rescue 0.27m

I am not sure whether MKR will drop below a million just yet. Only because there is no Married on tonight.

MKR 1.02
T20 700k
Celebrity 800k

Hoges 550k

I agree with Turdall, I don’t think that’ll happen yet.

Well it didn’t rate great on Friday night.

It’ll be a big, competitive night of TV.

Monday February 20
My Kitchen Rules 1.13m
Bride & Prejudice 0.67m

Married at First Sight 1.09m
House Husbands 0.63m

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 0.84m
Whose Line is it Anyway? Australia 0.34m

MKR should drop slightly.

Married At First Sight will also drop (Seven have the momentum so far this week & not having a show since last Tuesday which has only just started to pull 1m and get very close to MKR… Never does the show any good).

I’m A Celebrity should hold steady.

There should be a huge combined audience watching tonight’s news in Melbourne (Seven + Nine + Ten + ABC), I reckon around 1.2m!

Seven should have an easy win again, with MKR + 800 Words + 7Two.

But Married and Nine should do well, might drop slightly, maybe below 1m?

I’m A Celebrity shouldn’t drop much further than 750k.

Tuesday February 21
MKR should drop but still win the 7.30pm timeslot.

My Kitchen Rules 1.26m
800 Words 0.67m
Bones 0.32m

Married at First Sight 1.04m
Travel Guides 0.65m
The Celebrity Apprentice 0.27m
