2017 Ratings Predictions

yes its a shitty tactic (by all networks), designed to make people stay on the network and hoping people won’t change the network. Aren’t I defending them all?

I have not seen you jump up and down defending a network like I see you do with Ten. If you think it is a shitty tactic you should be saying yeah its crap rather than saying its fine. You just admitted its a shitty tactic so say its annoying.

Rather than staying on to watch This is Us I have switched off. It annoyed the crap out of me and that is why the 8:30-9:30 timeslot has decreased by about 1.5 million over the last 6 years.

Huh?

I didn’t get any sport. All I got was Married At First Sight encores…

Terrible night for TV.

Ch 7 just had MKR encores & just rubbish on Ch 10.

Multi-channels were so poor tonight too, hardly anything good (only like 5 movies as well).

It was on 9Gem the NRL All Stars game for AFL states

Seven will dominate thanks to the women’s footy and athletics + strong multi-channel line-up…

No. 1 network: Seven

No. 1 multi-channel: Ch 7

•Nitro Athletics: 800k
[Syd: 200k + Melb: 250k + Bris: 150k + Adel: 125k + Per: 75k]
•AFLW (Collingwood vs. Melbourne): 605k
[Ch 7 - Melb: 325k + Adel: 130k + 7Mate - Syd: 30k + Bris: 35k + Per: 85k]
•Macgyver: 400k
•“Paul Blart - Mall Cop” (movie - Ch 9): 350k
•“The Hangover - Part 3” (movie - Ch 9): 300k
•Hawaii Five-O: 275k
•Scorpion: 250k

Lots of movies on the multi-channels tonight, lots of alternate programming, I think Seven’s will perform strongest but they’ll be close…

No. 1 multi-channel: 7Mate

Womens AFL not on in Adelaide. They played it last night as Adelaide v Bulldogs were playing.

What did markets outside Melbourne/VIC get after the Nitro Athletics then, on Ch 7?

Sunday February 12
The premiere of Hoges should do well but the audience will be down on Molly last year, partly because of average reviews in the media during the week.

Seven will have a huge win tonight, with the premiere of the “Hoges” telemovie + MKR…

No. 1 network: Seven

No. 1 main channel: Ch 7

•Hoges - The Paul Hogan Story (Part 1): 1.6m
•My Kitchen Rules: 1.35m
•Married At First Sight: 875k
•I’m A Celebrity: 750k
•60 Minutes: 700k
•24 - Legacy (season premiere): 650k
•Homeland (season premiere): 375k
•Lethal Weapon: 250k

Lots of movies again on the multi-channels tonight, should be close, I think 7Mate will perform best however…

No. 1 multi-channel: 7Mate

I got my predictions pretty wrong last night :frowning:

In a very rare and bizarre case… Seven was ~5% clear in the main channel, thanks to AFLW + Nitro Athletics + movies.

But Seven’s multi-channels ended up performing so poor (surprisingly considering the amount of programming on), that Nine won overall thanks to equally surprising massive multi-channels (“Man of Steel” on 9Go! even made the overall Top 20 list).

Hoge 1.9
24 legaxy 300k

24 Legacy 600k
Homeland 300k

I love Homeland one of the best shows but are people really that naive to think it will get anything near 300k? It was rating around 150k last year.

A for 24 Legacy Ten had the last 24 series following the dominant Masterchef and it still couldn’t achieve figure close to 600k.

24 won’t rate, people already watched the 2 hour premiere last week.
Ten chose to show only part one of the episode which still puts them 2 weeks behind.

After last night’s ratings… My eyes are now wide open (even though the ratings year is in its infancy) :+1:
