He also presented Midday.
Great!
I notice Wendy Petrie anchored again this evening as she did Sat-Sun (after JC’s stint Wed-Fri). Surprised they didn’t have Simon anchoring live from Wellington tbh.
New look Sunday on air tomorrow night 1930 TVNZ1. Graphics and camera works.
As per the preview video, the term ‘new set’ can never ever be used in that studio until that curved screen set has been removed from the Auckland CBD
They change their look quite often.
Miriama Kamo on 1News at six, tonight, very fresh perspective of presentation.
TVNZ’s Sam Kelway 41st Birthday today
Also he may possibly be presenting midday news
His first time presenting?
Sam Kelway is a TVNZ journalist based in Tauranga but, according to @Michael_Eccles, would have the ability to travel to Auckland and read the midday news from there as a newsreader.
Haven’t seen him read before. Was quite good from what I saw.
Chris Chang did Breakfast this morning. Not sure if he’s been on all week.
He was I think. Great presenter, like his humour. Much much better than Matty!
Miriama Kamo anchored 6pm this evening as well, with John Campbell joining her at the desk with an exclusive report on Peter Ellis. The lead of the bulletin had quite a ‘Sunday’ vibe to it.
Yep - The interview with Peter Ellis was filmed for Sunday and is up on their Facebook page.
I thought it was a stunningly strong opening block from 1 News - remarkable reporting.
Really enjoyed Miriama Kamo on 6pm, fresh feel to the news
Barely a day goes by where I don’t miss that era.
The presentation? Or that era more generally? Either way, I completely agree.
