Nine Sports Broadcasting

I thought for a moment there you meant Dragons vs Roosters!
(since this is a Nine thread).
Until I saw Sifon’s post.

NRL Dragons Vs Roosters on 9 and 9HD from 3.30pm AEST

Is that a late change? The game was scheduled for GEM in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Unless the online guides I’m looking at are yet to be updated, the ANZAC Day NRL match will still be shown on 9Gem in AFL states.

Where did you see this?
Nine doesn’t seem to publish a national TV guide anymore (the ninemsn website just points you to 9now).

eBroadcast is listing the Anzac Day NRL game as being on 9Gem in Melb and Adel, but it is Live on 9 and 9HD in Perth.

Saw it on the Foxtel Guide. Pretty odd to see the ANZAC Day NRL game on the main channel in Perth

The time zone helps, running from 1:30 to 4pm and not being a news lead in like in the eastern states.

But still, it’s up against Collingwood vs Essendon, despite both of those teams being near the bottom of the AFL ladder.

ANZAC Day NRL is still showing as being on Gem in Melbourne, just as at the AFL game is still showing as being on 7mate in Sydney.

Next Monday’s Footy Classified will be show on 9Gem in AFL states at the special time of 8.30pm, before it is repeated on the main channel at 11.15pm, so fans of the show won’t be kept waiting due to the double episode of Reno Rumble.

NINE NETWORK BRINGS CYCLING FANS THE SUBARU FULL CYCLE SERIES

Sunday 1 May at 1.00pm (AEST)*

Cycling fans across Australia will be treated to a new, in-depth program looking at everything in the world of cycling when Subaru Full Cycle begins tomorrow at 1.00pm on Channel Nine.

Over 14 weeks, the program will be hosted by two of Australia’s most revered Olympic cyclists, Scott McGrory and Brad McGee. McGrory most notably won the gold medal in the Madison (Track Cycling) at the 2000 Sydney Olympics while McGee is the only Australian to have worn the leaders jersey at all three Grand Tours.

The program will keep cycling fans up to date with all the news and action on the road and behind the scenes at the Subaru National Road Series. McGrory and McGee will also check in on all the European racing action as well as the latest in road, track, mountain bike and BMX, and see how Aussie riders are going in these disciplines.

Subaru Full Cycle will feature regular studio guests and aim to be first with big cycling announcements from Australia and abroad.

Other segments will include Celebrity Spin, Spinning Yarns, Hidden Talents, Future Stars and a weekly look at everything doing the social media rounds.

  • Check local guides for details. Times are subject to change.

A new show to rival Cycling Central on SBS.

Already airing on fox sports as well. Saw it the other night.

Is it just me or is Ray Warren only doing one game a week this year?

I thought he did Tigers vs Souths last Thursday and backed up Friday for Eels vs Dogs. Didn’t see Nine’s coverage of Sharks vs Broncos on Sunday however.

KOFM Newcastle reporting that Fairfax has a story that Nine has won Free To Air coverage of a new and possibly expanded netball competition from next season.

Ahh - here’s the link: http://www.theage.com.au/sport/netball/new-national-netball-competition-with-big-investment-and-tv-coverage-a-leap-forward-for-womens-sport-20160510-goqs3u.html

Channel Nine and Telstra are expected to enter into five-year agreements to broadcast the 17-round competition, with incumbent telecaster Channel Ten, losing the rights.

TV ratings drove the inevitable national league, with poor numbers for games between Australian and New Zealand teams forcing Netball Australia’s hand.

Nine welcomed the opportunity to broadcast exclusively Australian content into lounge rooms in prime time, with Telstra to offer digital services.

Nine last showed netball at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. If the deal goes ahead it will allow Nine to show netball week in, week out in the first half of the year. The question include how matches will be on FTA each week, what nights they will be on, and which channel(s)? Will the netball overlap with the NRL on Thursday and Friday nights?
Fox Sports may be disappointed it will miss out on showing the competition as well.
